The Sun Quartet verbindet zentrale Themen des Kollektivs, wie Land, Mythen und politischen Widerstand, kristallisiert am Schicksal von 43 Studenten, die 2014 auf dem Weg zu einem Protest verschwanden, nachdem sie von der Polizei festgenommen worden waren. Die Studenten arbeiteten in der Landwirtschaft, wobei das Land auch eine spirituelle Dimension hat, ihr politisches Engagement wurde ihnen zum Verhängnis und löste in Mexiko zugleich grosse Erschütterung und wiederholte Proteste aus. Im Programm verweben sich Tod, Gewalt, Wiederauferstehung, Land und Traum zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart zu einer hypnotischen Ästhetik des Wiederstands.

The Sun Quartet combines central themes of Los Ingrávidos, such as land, myth and political resistance, embodied by the fate of 43 students, who disappeared in 2014 on the way to a protest, after having been arrested by the police. The students had worked in agriculture, while the land also has a spiritual dimension, and their political activism was their undoing, causing great distress and sparking repeated protests in Mexico. In the program, death, violence, resurrection, land and dream are interwoven between past and present, creating a hypnotic aesthetic of resistance.
